A question for the ages...

Graphic mine

I think that ignorance is only bliss when you are left alone to live in your ignorance, in a place where you cannot hurt other communities,. However people who choose to live in ignorance (because it is an active choice), when you get exploited by a far right elite, ignorance becomes confusion and anger because they are really that ignorant.

Or what came first, the ignorance or the anger... hhhmmm

It was then the American Party, better known as the Know Nothing Party.

Saw a historian on one of the cable shows a while back comparing the "party of tRump" to the Know Nothing Party.

Next thing you know (because he is, of course, always projecting), the Orange Manchild starts screaming about the "Do nothing Democrats." With that, everyone immediately piled on to point out the 400-something bills passed by the House that the Rethuglican Senate has DONE NOTHING about. Needless to say, tRump's "brilliant" messaging ended up shining a bright, unflattering light on Moscow Mitch.

Nothing would irk the representatives and senators more. Hopefully, they would work harder at showing some sense in order to lose the moniker.
tRump? He's beyond help.

All that Adrenalin. Nazis, Commies, authoritarians, tyrants, today’s Republicans ALL rely on the psychological impact of fear on the human mind. What Hitler said:

”Terrorism is the best political weapon for nothing drives people harder than a fear of sudden death.”

Hope, on the other hand, requires trust and intelligence.

Angry white people convinced that genocide is being perpetrated against them, and that they themselves are some kind of oppressed minority.

And then they blame democrats for upholding the rights of the real victims, which are anyone old, poor, sick or different. Particularly anyone brown-skinned.
