(1,115 posts)Beshear has infused the Dems here with massive enthusiasm. I hod out no hopes at the presidency currently in my state, but McGrath has a good chance to unseat Moscow Mitch (and even the Republican farmers I know call him that now).

The right candidate will take Iowa as president and a new Senator will ride in on their coat tails.

(50,562 posts)Trump is also screwing with the ethanol requirements for gasoline - and ethanol is huge business in Iowa.
I suspect that outside the American Redoubt area Trump is going to have a very, very hard time picking up votes.

(40,218 posts)Her 2014 campaign commercial wasnt true. She didnt come to Washington and make them squeal. Apparently, the only thing Joni ever made squeal were the poor little piggies she castrated on her familys farm.
She is a follower. Mostly, she is dumb. Hitching her wagon to Trumpism is all the reason to vote her out of office.

Having said that, I'd still support him as his values seem to be very much in line with mine (except the getting up early part )
