I can name three of the greatest journalists who define what journalism is.

Edward R. Murrow, Walter Cronkite and Rachel Maddow.

If you don't know about Murrow and Cronkite, google them. The conservatives always hated them because they spoke the truth, reported facts, and were considered to be the best informed, most honest people in America.

Rachel Maddow now joins them. She, her staff, her honesty and her reporting of reality during this dark age is an outstanding feat to bring us truth. If there is an antidote to the poison Trump spews every moment of every day, it's Rachel. History will take note of a would-be tyrannical creature in the White House, and a wonderful journalist who showed us, every single night, that the emperor has no clothes.

Murrow, Cronkite and Maddow - freedom, democracy, truth and the very definition of magnificent journalism.

Murrow with "Person-to-Person" and "See-It-Now" programs spotlighted great personalities and evident truths. Corporate CBS tried to mute him.

Cronkite with "Tales of the Century" and "Newscasts" presented much background about past and current events.

Maddow is "filling their shoes" with similar greatness.

She's great, fantastic at what she does - as a political commentator. She does approach things from a more journalistic way compared to some other political comment but I see her first and foremost as a political commentator. IMO best in her class.

Edward Murrow and Walter Cronkite are undeniably journalists; they reported from the field prior to being anchormen of their respective news shows.

We trust them completely. With that trust that comes from knowing they will never lie to us. That we can take their word as their bond.

I’m very happy that we have Rachel Maddow. She has her own unique approach so there is no way we can compare her to other excellent journalists of which there are. It’s what sets her apart from the others that she excels in.
