You know what sucks most?

Barring some sudden mass crisis of conscience on the Republican side of the Senate aisle, or some other Deus ex Machina, they’ll vote to acquit Trump despite the damning evidence.

And idiots like Starr, Dershowitz, Bondi and Sekolow will be the recipients of undeserved praise as great legal minds for playing with a stacked deck.

Evolution? Nah...or religious nutbag base wants to teach the earth is 6,000 years old and that those 20,000 year old artifacts are...wait for it....Fake News from Satan to deceive them!!!

America was a secular nation and the biggest, most profound political movement in Human history? Nah...we were founded to be the Jesusland of North America and to persecute those who would say otherwise!!!

War IS Peace.
2 + 2 IS 5.
Room 101 is just where libs are re-educated...

The current sham in the Senate notwithstanding, the GOP is based on lies, deceit and stoking resentment and hate. THAT has not changed in nearly a century plus...

when the rest of the fecal iceberg surfaces, as it surely will. When the complete truth of the Trump administration's corruption becomes known, the GOP will own all of it.

where, when he gets this false vindication, he's going to wildly lash out at anyone who has crossed him in the past. The gutless Repubs could have joined forces with us and kicked him to the curb, but they're not going to do that.

All dictators do this, and Trump is killing people, or planning to do so. But, the thing about Trump is that he is well taught at hiding. He is at least two layers removed from any dirty little thing he does. So, the citizens will coast along silent until he has purged his regime of the opposition-- which today is most of the country.

He wants to be a dictator, and these people are helping him.

Only the House of Representatives has the power and that ship has sailed.

The Senate can only vote on whether the Articles of Impeachment rise to the level Trump should be removed from office or not.

It's an important distinction which needs to be stressed.

Their votes for acquittal will make it much likelier that Democrats win the Senate this fall.

Is there a limit to the number of times that (different) articles of impeachment can be sent to the Senate?

is that he will be entirely unleashed after they all tell him he's "innocent".

He will be sure that he can do literally anything and no one can stop it.

And the thing that sucks most is that he probably can.

No one will stop him.

And I am terrified of what he'll do when he's assured once again that there are no consequences for any of his actions.
