Pompeo Denies Knowing Parnas Or Anything About Yovanovitch Surveillance

In a Friday interview with conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo finally addressed the alleged surveillance of former Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch, saying that he’d “never heard about this at all.”

“Until this story broke, the best of my recollection, I’d never heard of this at all,” Pompeo told conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt.

Pompeo also washed his hands of any association with Lev Parnas, the associate of President Donald Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani, who provided a tranche of messages to Congress that included exchanges about getting rid of and tracking Yovanovitch.

“Never met him,” Pompeo said.

Polygraph.

All of them. But they'd all be clean as a whistle because they are all sociopaths and don't believe they've done a damn thing wrong. They could lie about their names and date of births and the results would be No Deception Indicated.

All of them. Every single one. Except maybe Lindsey Graham. I'm sure his would light up like Times Square on New Year's Even.

Something along the lines of "I ran the CIA. Lying is what we do"?

Another story that would have been an outrage in any other Administration, but is lost in the sea of Trump drama.

WASHINGTON – Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Friday the State Department would examine alleged surveillance of former U.S. ambassador Marie Yovanovitch by associates of Rudy Giuliani, President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer.

“We will do everything we need to do to evaluate whether there was something that took place there," he told Tony Katz, a radio show host. But in his first remarks on the matter, Pompeo also cast doubt on allegations that Giuliani associates may have been tracking the American diplomat.

"I suspect that much of what’s been reported will ultimately prove wrong, but our obligation, my obligation as Secretary of State, is to make sure that we evaluate, investigate,” he said. “Any time there is someone who posits that there may have been a risk to one of our officers, we’ll obviously do that.”

Pompeo said he did not know about the alleged surveillance before this week.
