GOP leader: It was 'rightful' for Trump administration to break the law

By Dan Desai Martin -January 16, 2020 2:37 PM

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy defended the Trump administration after a GAO investigation found it broke the law.

During a Thursday press conference, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy attempted to brush aside a GAO investigation that found the Trump administration broke the law by withholding military aid from Ukraine.

"I think it was the rightful thing to do," McCarthy said hours after the nonpartisan Government Accountability Office released a report calling those actions illegal.

McCarthy repeated Trump administration talking points defending holding back the aid out of concerns for corruption, a concern that was debunked by the GAO report itself.

The GAO concluded the Trump administration's hold on Ukrainian military aid violated the Impoundment Control Act.

Or suggesting cons want us dead.

They want all non-them gone, they do NOT care how.

Does anyone reading this board STILL doubt that statement? And if you say how could one family member want another gone or dead, trust me, cons dont really care about family when it comes to their racism and hate of others.

They will throw you under the bus so fast your head will do the mariachi...

We had a blue wave in 2018 and we’ll have a bigger one in 2020. A lot of mischief has been prevented because Democrats have the House of Representatives. Once we get the Senate and Presidency, we can correct much of the damage Trump has inflicted on us. I believe.

Even if we somehow can root this POS out of the white house by the start of next year, the damage done by the republican party can never even remotely be repaired.

Honestly, all previous rules, laws and even the Constitution are now null and void.

Trump will tell you what to do, what to think, what the new rules are.

So be good sheeple and follow our lead, ok? Don't think, just follow orders.

Not going to work though, is it? Too many good people going 'Hell no, this shit isn't happening to MY COUNTRY!'

The smell of Revolution and Change is in the air! Time for every American to wake up and know this has gone too far, too long, and the invertebrate life forms that make up the majority of the Republican party need to be forced to slither back under their rocks. And stay there!

No rule against locking up political terrorists in Gitmo. They are operating within the US, otherwise no different to outside terrorists.

that president is a Republican. In other parts of the world, their concepts would be called fascism.

And, if he/she is a Democrat, the office must be neutered and symbolic only - giving out medals, lighting the Christmas tree and such only.

We can't be rid of this slimy hoard of minions fast enough......

He knew Trump was a snake when he let him in.

And when he defends Trump, McCarthy knows full well what he is doing is not "rightful".
