I agree with Scarborough on Bolton. The man is no hero, he's a scumbag with a book to sell.

“Forgive me for being cynical, but I think John Bolton wants to sell his book,” Scarborough said. “These people who were saying, you know what? We’ll give you Bolton. You give us, fill in the blank. I mean, whoever else is called, if the Republicans call (anyone), will not talk about executive privilege, but I guarantee you John Bolton will.”

“You talk about drug deals,” he said. “I think there’s a smaller drug deal going on between Bolton and the White House right now, where there’s a nod and a wink. Yes, I’m going to say that I’ll testify, knowing perfectly well the second he gets there to testify the White House will claim executive privilege, and he’ll say, you know what? I came here to testify, but this really does fit under executive privilege, and I’m not going to weaken the presidency and so then Republicans call who they want to call. I think the fix is already in here.”

He's patriotic as hell, as long as he can profit from it.

I agree that all of his theatrics have as much to do with book sales as anything else.

Frankly, I'd say he's probably about as loyal as Trump is.

The point I keep making is that if Bolton gives some really big BOMBSHELL testimony that directly leads to the downfall of Trump, the sales of his book would go through the roof.

1. He's a scumbag with a book to sell.
2. His testimony might increase the odds of Trump being impeached, or badly (perhaps mortally) politically damaged.

If he holds back so that people will have to buy they book, and offers the mildest and meekest of details, it's a non-event.

He has to give up something major, something the Republican Senators can't easily dismiss.

If he does that, great. If he shows up and he's Corey Lewandowski, then to hell with him.
