i don't have cable so rely on local news and prefer internet or just DU
so had seen the news online that articles were delivered and then cbs saying they were refused (i'm pretty sure that was the wording)
i looked online, here and saw no corroboration... i was worried i had an auditory hallucination 😳
then again this morning on cbs morning news... it just sounds misleading to me

(146,317 posts)What you saw yesterday was the initial presentation of the Articles of Impeachment. What will happen today is the official, formal presentation of those Articles.
Congress has a great fondness for historical precedents. For example, the language that will be used to "Summon" Donald Trump will be written in the very formal 18th century style of 19th century official congressional English - the same language used during the 1868 Impeachment of Andrew Johnson.
Congress follows very strictly Roberts Rules of Order, which were written to codify the procedures and processes of Congress.
It's unfortunate that the trial will not be televised. We won't get to see Congress behaving in its most formal manner.
History is taking place, but there will be no audience except the participants.
