After protective order, Simsbury police took firearms, ammunition from Robert Hyde, who is tied to tracking of former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine

"Responding to a protective order, Simsbury police removed six firearms and more than 800 rounds of ammunition last year from the home of Robert F. Hyde, who has been linked to an apparent surveillance operation of the U.S. ambassador to Ukraine by associates of President Trump’s personal attorney.

Officers seized three rifles, two shotguns, a flare launcher, and other shooting accessories from Hyde’s home in Weatogue last June, according to a police report.

The 40-year-old former Marine and longshot Republican candidate for Connecticut’s 5th congressional district has emerged as an unlikely figure in new documents sent by House Democrats to the Senate this week in advance of President Donald Trump’s impeachment trial. The documents include a series of menacing text exchanges between Hyde and Lev Parnas, an associate of President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani, in which Hyde seemed to relay updates about the location of former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch.

It is unclear how Hyde might have the ability — if any — to track the movements of Yovanovitch. In prolific Twitter posts, Hyde often features pictures posing with well-known figures, including Trump, Giuliani, Parnas, and other conservatives."

If I was to hazard a guess, I'd say this yahoo, Hyde, would be polling in the single digits.

1. What he thought he was up to regarding Marie Yovanovitch.

2. Why he is always drunk.

This fool needs to learn how to clean pools or mow lawns or something. I can't imagine many jobs he is fit for, but certainly not a position in Congress.

I was not aware of that when I posted.

Guess I missed my calling. I should have been a career counselor!
