(90,714 posts)Well known to Lev. He told Rachel he could not believe his eyes when he saw Nunes sitting at the committee table, with his aide sitting behind him, pretending they knew nothing of the crimes they were judging.

(3,678 posts)Following someone in another country is probably not a crime, or not one we have jurisdiction over. Digging up dirt on a rival is not a crime. Lying is usually not a crime, unless under oath or to the FBI, etc.

(90,714 posts)That is a crime. In fact probably more than one. Slander. Libel.
Second, Trump's demand that this be done before he released funds that Congress had appropriated was extortion, another crime.
Third "following someone in another country" sounds so innocuous. This is a US Ambassador we are talking about, someone deserving of the protection of our State Dept. Because she unknowingly got in Trump's way, she was slandered, her reputation ruined, and thugs set on her trail monitoring her phone, computer, and her every move. Someone in the department obviously feared for her life -- hence the 1 am phone call telling her to get on the next plane home.
And you don't think this is a crime either?
Have you been paying attention at all?

(3,678 posts)But no one is prosecuting anyone for that. And Trump's impeachment is a political move that is almost certain to lead to nothing but a black spot on Trump's record. But again, no prosecution by DoJ.
As for the surveillance of the ambassador, it occurred in another country. We have no jurisdiction over that, if it even was a crime (which is not clear).
I'm paying attention to our laws. Cite the statute and the prosecutor who will indict someone for it. Absent that, we're spinning our wheels an awful lot here.

(3,678 posts)And where is all the rock-solid evidence to convict all the named individuals?
Our legal processes are slow AF. That's what people need to understand. We need a whole new investigation. Who will even order that? Trump and his lackeys control almost everything.
