Previous research also has shown that Americans are worse off in terms of health compared to the British.
Combine this falling life expectancy in the US will the regular push by the right to raise the retirement age to 70 or more, and we see the strategy. More workers will die before they can ever retire.

over the last few years. There have been spikes in those categories.

In addition, the lack of health care, including dental care, has a definite effect on life expectancy.
