31. The Dumbing Down of America.

I had to explain Labor Day to my homeworker. A bleeding heart liberal, she is, but had no idea what unions have done for us. At 60 years of age, I learned about it in highschool. At 30 years of age she did not. The people in my family and neighboring familes were all union. She is ,ot although a union is available to her, and I I know no one personally who is in a union now.

Until liberals get control of education. we are screwed.

at work, who are older than me, but listen to too much Rush, complain about unions I ask them question. Like "how do you like your 40 work week?". "How do you like your paid vacations and sick days?". "How do you like your safe working environment?". I tell them that they have those things because people fought and died for them.
