Trump high-fives Rudy's suggestion that Justice Roberts should dismiss the impeachment trial

President Donald Trump on Sunday suggested that Justice John Roberts should declare that impeachment charges against him are unconstitutional.

In an appearance on Fox News over the weekend, Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani first made the suggestion that Roberts could kick off the president’s impeachment trial by dismissing it.

“Great idea,” Trump wrote Sunday morning as he tweeted out video of Giuliani’s appearance. “This phony Impeachment Hoax should not even be allowed to proceed. Did NOTHING wrong. Just a partisan vote. Zero Republicans. Never happened before!”

Just dismiss the US CONGRESS, the Representatives of the People and the only branch of government granted the responsibility of impeaching the President of the United States.

Sure, John Roberts will be happy to help you with that!

Or maybe not?

Or investigate him. Or question him or his underlings. So it follows logically we shouldn't be allowed to impeach him.

Also, we should stop thinking and saying bad things about him during times of war, or peace. After all, he was the choice of 63 million voters -- and that's almost half of people who voted. Who the hell do we think we are?

If he determines the republican senate’s sham rules for a trial go against his oath(s) and fundamentals of traditional U.S. jurisprudence?

Oaths, decorum, and democracy may no longer matter to the politicians wanting to let tRump reign unchecked, but what about a sworn justice?

Will Roberts act as though the House has the power of impeachment, as laid out in The Constitution?

Hopefully Roberts won't yield the Court's power to the WH like McConnell has done with the Senate's power. I think that was what Mike Lee and Rand Paul were angry about last week, the WH usurping the power of the House.

To take the unserious approach they did in the House impeachment process. Is quite another for such to continue on into the Senate.

I sure hope Roberts doesn’t fold his bench like a broken lawn chair. I figure he sees this test for what it is. Is of greater importance than the appearance given out by the pResident and his fixer on tv/twitter.
