Well, you limp-dicked, lying, pedophile, junkie ... turn on your fucking television. Even the clowns at FauxNews have been forced to acknowledge that it is pouring down rain in Charlotte at this very moment, and that there are thunderstorms in the vicinity.

Fuck man!!!! How the fucking crazy do you have to be to get worked into a lather about piddly ass shit about moving a speech because of weather? How completely devoid of anything but hate and contempt do you have to be that this is the kind of shit that keeps you up at night? How fucking desperate does a party have to be that it matters like it's fucking D-Day, whether the President speaks indoors to 25K people, or outdoors to a crowd of 50K????

THIS IS ALL THEY'VE FUCKING GOT????

We've already wasted enough prescious time and data bits down the "intertubes" on meaningless claptrap like this!

This is what has become of the Republican Party and the Tea-baggers...they not only are "polishing a turd"...they're now trying to convince themselves they can "pick it up by the clean end"!

I grew up on all of Dylan's early music (much to the chagrin of my right wing, redneck, neofascist, nazi parents living in Orange County) and at least at one point I was able to recite every one of his lyrics, forwards and backwards. Today I, perhaps without justification, assume that every one else did the same thing as well; or at least I do whenever I write on a forum such as this.

It's funny how when we cannot see anyone's face, what things it is easy to naturally assume about them.

I was one of his early fans, have many of his albums, including very first one, but don't listen to them these days. His music isn't on YouTube, or I haven't found it there, but like you, I do know many of his lyrics by heart. What an amazing songwriter. Glad you discovered him when you were young. Good for you for sharing his words with others who, if they don't know them, I hope will be inspired to check them out. I was lucky to see him perform in Denver, then in Seattle with Joan Baez. IMHO, Bob's a national treasure.

They have revised the weather forecast in Charlotte, North Carolina. The chance of rain tonight is zero. Literally zero! Not 5%. Not 10%. There is a 0% chance of rain tonight. This convention is in chaos, if you want to know the truth. Their platform is in chaos. Here is the sentence that sent this convention over the edge. The platform calls for a government that, quote, "gives everyone willing to work hard the chance to make the most of their God-given potential." That's what it was all about.

Excuse me for muddying the water with a few facts, but it seems like I read somewhere yesterday that they gave out 80,000 tickets for this event!!!! That is more than the stadium will hold and you can bet your sweet ass that they probably had waiting lists for tickets. I would be there if I didn't have to drive 14 hours to get there. So there are probably thousands and thousands more of us who would be headed into Charlotte right this minute if we thought we had a chance to get in to that stadium.

I tuned into the first half hour of his show and he insisted that our convention was the most embarrassing moment in the history of all conventions--EVER. Oh please. He's so off-the-charts bizarre and his rants are not based in reality. Most Republicans I know concede that the Dems are having a great convention.

It's now saying "Expect thunderstorms to begin Thursday at 7 p.m.

Either it's just that the GOP still don't believe in science or that they had hoped Dems in attendance - and especially President Obama - would be struck by lightning or both.

Their logic and goodwill towards their fellow human beings are certainly on a par.

Which is why I will never ever support any of their crazy RW zealot candidates.

More than sufficient reason for a change in venue. They close down outdoor public swimming pools, golf courses and state fair amusement parks for less.

89. Forget Weather.com
Fri Sep 7, 2012, 01:29 AM
Sep 2012

They get their information from www.weather.GOV.
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE.
EVERY commercial weather outfit on the web gets their info from the NWS, so why shouldn't you?
Best US weather site on the 'net.
And because it's run by the government for WE THE PEOPLE, and not them, the corporations.
IT HAS NO ADS OR SPAM!

I like it, as well as a ton of other features on weather.gov, but like I said, my favorite thing about it is that there are no ads, no spam, so less of a chance of getting infected.

When the DNC said they have alternate plans in case of rain the talk shows started saying it was because DNC could nit fill the stadium. Guess they forgot about the wimps the week before who ran from Isaac that went to NO. What a bunch of whiners.

The local charlotte NBC station - I don't live in charlotte, but it is our media market here in the foothills. He is the morning guy...this morning, he had us with a 40% chance of rain this afternoon and tonite. As usual, rush is full of it. And, BTW, right this minute it is pouring just east of my house.

95. So that's why all the "no chance of rain" comments
Fri Sep 7, 2012, 12:31 PM
Sep 2012

... on Huff post.

Moments before the speech, some troll was saying "I just checked the weather report and there is a 10% chance of rain in Charlotte.... but a 100% chance Obama couldn't fill a stadium."

So I went over to Weather.com to see an 80% chance of rain and a radar full of yellow red and green blobs. I replied:

"There is an 80% chance of rain in Charlotte and a 100% chance repugs are so desperate they are making up weather reports. How pitiful is that?"

Apparently it's even MORE pitiful than I thought last night. They couldn't even make up a weather report! They had to parrot Rush "take a handful of Oxy" Limbaugh to come up with their "diabolical plan"!

What a bunch of total losers.... as we will prove again in November.

P.S. did I mention this display of "Obama couldn't fill a stadium" was the comment board for an article about the thousands who were unable to attend? HELLOOOOO???

98. Well I was in it, soaked all the way through. Worst part was high winds and lightening
Fri Sep 7, 2012, 01:06 PM
Sep 2012

that started after the initial rainstorm stopped. Here's the Facebook status of the local NBC news from that time yesterday. (I just realized that when the downpour started I was in the MSNBC area which was filming outside and would have recorded all the umbrellas and rain, why do they lie about something that is so easy to disprove?)

https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=435875736453922&set=a.120271008014398.7171.119243191450513&type=1&theater

One of the last comments on there is how there was lightening and flashes throughout the speeches, I wouldn't know cause I was in the Convention Center in the substitute location where we were out of any bad weather. My daughter asked in the middle of the speeches if I heard rain outside so could be. I'm just thankful for a team that is looking out for all possibilities. They made a great call.

109. "Human Weather Balloon Rush Limbaugh" (Steven Colbert)
Fri Sep 7, 2012, 02:50 PM
Sep 2012

Stephen Colbert mocked 'Human Weather Balloon Rush Limbaugh' on Colbert's DNC Show. Limbaugh was a weather conspiracy expert at both the RNC and DNC conventions. Limbaugh's recent (last 6 months or so) drug-addled rantings raise the limbo question (pun intended): How low can they go?
