I did the numbers on this concept when he first floated it during the campaign...
it simply isn't possible... there are not enough tankers, not nearly enough storage facilities, to "take" the oil.

The best place to keep oil reserves (and, in fact, the only place that make any economic sense) is in the ground.

The only way to take Iraqi (or Iranian or Saudi) oil is to take the ground on top of the oil and hold it.

Doing anything else is simply not possible right now... and would be prohibitively expensive at some point in the future.
