When GW & SCOTUS stole the election in 2000, Dems held a secret meeting

and plotted his downfall as he & Mizzz Laura danced away the night at the Inauguration Ball..

They schemed away the night in vindictive misery & vowed to never ever ever give him any legislative credibility or authenticity.

Everyone knew he stole the election, and most people knew he was illegitimately squatting in the White House, so he deserved NO bi-partisan support.

They all "pinky-swore"..and the rest is history..

GW had a miserable presidency, met nothing but filibusters, derision and open rebellion against him.. He was hounded out of office after one horrible term in office.


Oh wait !!!.. THAT NEVER HAPPENED..

Why?

Because Democrats , even in their darkest hours, put the general welfare of the public ahead of their own political miseries. And even though the republicans loved to sneer, smirk and taunt us with "elections have consequences", "get over it", "Sore-Loserman", etc, most dems buckled down, swallowed their wounded pride, choked back the bitterness, and worked with GW, even though he was an idiot. They did not want to damage the political process more than it already was, and they gave legitimacy to him, even though he deserved none of it.

In hindsight, it would have been best to torment & hound him out of office, but hindsight is always 20-20, and the events of 9-11-01 would have conferred instant legitimacy to him anyway, but they could have made those first 9 months miserable for him, had they wanted to.
