Please note that because of the 3-day rolling average, the recent run-up corresponds mostly with the Republican convention. Based on that, I'd say the most effective speech the President could give tonight would be:

"Hello, I am President Barack Obama. I need your vote in November. And now I'd like to give the rest of my time this evening to Governor Chris Christie of the great state of New Jersey. God Bless our troops in battle and God bless America."
