(13,903 posts)but conservatives are not going to swayed by facts or moral arguments. They simply don't care. You can't appeal to their conscience or reason.
The only way to teach conservative politicians is to defeat them and take their jobs.

(13,924 posts)How do they like their own medicine ? If you recall Stone organized the brooks brothers riot where a bunch of "suits" stormed a political office just to get attention for a cause...

(32,626 posts)are you saying these protesters are political operatives putting on a show?

(32,626 posts)Roger Stones tactic was to bring Republican aides/assistants/ into Florida to protest outside of where the votes were being counted, screaming let us in. These are people protesting what Mitch McConnell is not doing by reading the pertinent parts of the Constitution in his office. Do you not see the difference?

(13,924 posts)I just saw protests at a political office which is what Stone did. Thats all..

(14,176 posts)instead of yet another incendiary Trump tweet. And then followed by a few hours of discussion about it, and how this will hurt Democrats.
If a tree falls in the forest, and the news media isn't there to record and broadcast it, will anyone hear or see it fall?

(43,281 posts)and that protends the possibility of a watershed election. This is CODE RED, this will likely be the strongest regime change ever. More than 1980, even more than 1932 because in 1932 there was fear, desperation, now there is just raw outrage.

I am so goddamned sick and tired of republicans lying, cheating and subverting the law I could scream! Fuck them all!

(2,313 posts)Future Fox headline:
OUT-OF-CONTROL LEFTISTS THREATEN MCCONNELL
Cue footage of riots from some distant and long-ago foreign uprising, and half the country buys into the "angry-left" narrative even more.
Fox is a pox.

This is how protests start and grow.
I am proud of these protestors.

(22,270 posts)I find it is always easier to reach the local office.
I would suspect there is one in Louisville, Lexington and possibly Bowling Green.
All the phone #s will be on his Official Senate page
2naSalit
(86,775 posts)they aren't answering the phones at any of them. Going to their offices and reciting portions of the Constitution is pretty powerful. Has far more impact than a call since they have to look at you.

(38,958 posts)Since Mitch cannot read it himself, it is nice of them to read it aloud to him.

(159 posts)and work to convince enough Republicans that, in light of Trump's latest actions, and to prevent a war with Iran, we must use the vehicle of impeachment and conviction to get rid of Trump and his minions now.
The first step of this process has already been accomplished!!!
Let's rise up and convince all of our senators to do their duty to protect the future of our nation and the world.

(4,449 posts)Trump and his spawn are never going to pay for anything they've done. Never. If you ever believed in karma, Trump will prove it's bullshit, because he's never going to have his actions catch up with him. And the whole Trump clan will continue to have their own rubberstamping Senate, and their own propaganda network propping them up, with millions of slobbering moronic viewers rabidly supporting them all.
This country caught its terminal disease in 1980, and it's never going to get better. It's only going to get worse. And if you think it can't get worse than Trump, I didn't think it could get worse than Bush, and yet it did. Republicans will find a way to make it worse until we're a third world country with nukes and the top 1% owning 75% of the wealth, and all the desperately poor people will turn on whatever scapegoat Fox News feeds them. Things will never get better. Trump will get re-elected in 2020, and this stupid shit country will find a way to turn the House back over to the Republicans by 2022.
I'm sorry. Despair is hitting hard today, and I just don't believe in our country any more. I wish I could find a way to move to New Zealand.
