It is not okay, and noting that a lot of overt sociopaths and troubled teens do it doesn't make it okay.

The Goebbels reference (made in California) was politically stupid but somewhat intellectually defensible.

The Eva Braun remark was just a disgustingly sexist comment and a gratuitous nazi name-calling all in one.

The ONLY reason we know about a state official making what was more of a "bunker" comment directed at Nikki Haley's commentary from a basement TV studio is because the Romney campaign called the waaaambulance.

Meanwhile, Romney's "base" shoves this crap in front of TV cameras every chance they get.

It's the poutrage, cthul.

It is, however, a grotesquely sexist remark from The Chairman of the South Carolina Democratic Party who is so dumb that he has doubled down on it so stupidly and coarsely that Obama may eventually have to personally disavow it.

The day of Obama's acceptance speech we are going to have to have surrogates running around all day saying that the Democratic Party doesn't think the Holocaust is funny.

And his behavior is practically a "both sides do it" banner, which is not desirable.

So there is no reason to support of defend or minimize his comments. They are genuinely offensive, and much more importantly, are not helpful.

Of course Romney's outrage is sham.

But if the jack-boot was on the other foot there would be plenty of outrage here, with our without the preceding "p."

A state party chair... during the DNC... I can't see any good in it at all.

I hope they get intervention before they really hurt someone.

(My honest opinion: they're just foreskin--they're not big enough to be full dicks.)

Of course the Obama campaign has to be above this but there's your evidence of what the Rethugs encourage.

The closest thing that Obama has to Hitler is that he gave good speeches too? Really? That's all they got?

They are in a state of desperation.
