(20,587 posts)that some of the religious right want the ultimate destruction to occur - Armageddon, when they will be saved. They want to be proven right.
People who believe this are everywhere, including elected positions in all levels of government. Working on an environmental issue, I was told by one of the council members that there were other council members who held those beliefs and WANTED the destruction that hazardous pollution would cause.
These are people cloaked in the cover of religion but are actually very sick people. They have power.
