an Iranian General as a sign.
They'll be considering the removal of President Trump before long. It's just a matter of votes, and those votes can be either to remove him or keep him. Those votes really needn't be based on the Articles of Impeachment sent to them by the House, either. Although that's what they'd be voting on, they do not have to give individual reasons for a yes or no vote.
If they vote to remove Trump, they'll have Mike Pence as a fall-back position. He's more than conservative enough to suit the Senate Republicans, and would be a lot less trouble to them over the next year, really.
I hope those GOP Senators consider all elements of what they do next. There's a real opportunity here to throw a loose cannon overboard, before it can sink the ship of state by bashing a hole in its hull.
I hope people remind their Senators of that right now. I think some of them need a little push to get them thinking about their options, really. Yes, I do.

(4,762 posts)could come from public polling. If Trump's approval takes a major dip Republican senators will become very unsettled. I honestly don't believe there will be dip and in fact he may initially get a bump but I do believe there is a solid silent majority of Americans who want nothing to do with another American involvement in another war especially with Iran. We will have to wait and see.
