This I know. GOP speeches tear down. Dem speeches lift up.
The contrast couldn't be more stark. The GOP speeches turned their audiences into a howling, know-nothing mob, yelling for virtual blood and claiming nothing on their own. The speeches I've heard these past two nights are everything we claim to be; educational, intelligent, purposeful, hope-inspiring, yes, angry but also willing to offer a hand to anyone, ANYONE who needs it without checking any papers or credentials or sniffing suspiciously about who you are and what you did or didn't do.
If I was a Republican I'd think about wanting to be a part of something that reduced me that way. But I'm not. And I feel GOOD.
