This isn't like 9/11 at all; the US has not been attacked and was not in danger. Trump started it with no justification by killing Suleimani. Previous presidents - both Bush and Obama - considered taking him out (he was a very bad guy) but rejected the idea because they decided the blowback would be even worse than letting him live. Trump, as usual, has no strategy - he just wanted a distraction from his impeachment, and, I suspect, a way to one-up Bush for capturing Saddam Hussein and Obama for killing OBL. He will fuck this up mightily and Americans will come home in body bags. It will be a disaster for everybody, and that includes Trump.
