I wish the debates could be set up for a candidate to stop the debate for a fact check moment

For example when Trump tells a bad lie Biden or whomever he is debating can hit a buzzer to have him fact checked. Our candidate would be hitting the buzzer every minute and Trump would get flustered and look like a complete idiot every time they did the fack check and called him out.

The fact checking after the debate is BS. Everyone is tuned out and it has very little impact on people at that point.

Don't need to stop the debate in its track...need to just have fact checkers in the back... SWBTATTReg Jan 2020 #3

The buzzer should be louder than this but it gives a good idea of how effective it is Quixote1818 Jan 2020 #5

ground and when there is an appropriate break point, ID the actual facts vs. the claims put forth by the particular candidate, kind of like a debate process, repeat, etc. Stick to a strict time limits and then conclude each session (e.g., round 1 would deal w/ military issues, round 2 would deal w/ economic issues, round 3 would deal w/ social security, etc., and after each session, such as round 1, have not a question and answer period, but instead a fact checking interval). I would think all would welcome this.

Not only are you correct but we'll need this even more during the general, presuming that Donny The Dotard agrees to debate.
