NPR is calling it an assassination and this General was highly regarded throughout Iran. I say to Iran, don't hate on Americans. Hate on the one that did this. Make that distinction - Trump did this. Iran is calling for revenge and warns US leaders they will be deprived of a good night sleep. That is what they said.
