I might be wrong but this conflict w/Iran just doesn't pass my smell test

Trump orders a bombing attack on a faction inside of Iraq that is loyal to Iran after
he has a phone call with Vlad Putin.

That pro Iranian faction retaliates by having riots outside of the US embassy in Baghdad.
Is our embassy still inside "the green zone" in Baghdad and if so how did the rioters get that
close to the embassy?

And now Trump orders the killing of 2 Iranian leaders that were in Baghdad further escalating
the conflict.

I smell Gulf of Tonkin and Iraq had WMDs so we have to attack them after 9/11 all over this shit.

This is madness.

Iran economy is hurting big time with sanctions, and it's leaders are mad as hell at tRump for destabilizing their country. So it is natural reaction to punish American assets such as destroying the embassy in Iraq. Why else would Iran risk sending their top general into Iraq while plenty of American military assets still remain in Iraq.

pick on war presidents. He’s running out of delaying tactics in the court.

The more he is cornered the more dangerous he gets. Congress and the American people need to hurry this up to prevent even worse actions on his part.

The rest of us get right wing-framed as 'old school' silly ones who naively think rule of law is some world model. The only peace on earth will be whatever they decide.

Trump doesn't have the wits to come up with something like this on his own.
Putin knows Trump is looking for something to distract the public and saw this as a great opportunity to weaken the US and Iran at the same time.

Look at what has taken over the news constantly now. Going to war with Iran and killing the general.

Not a mention of impeachment and senators who already would vote to let Trump get away with it will definitely do so now not wanting Pence in charge of a war either.

Security for the Green Zone has largely been turned over to Iraqi security forces and the area is, at least in part, now open to the public. Reports regarding the attack on the embassy indicate that Iraqi security stood aside and allowed the protesters to get into the compound.

But keep in mind, this is a very large compound with many structures. It covers over 100 acres, which is akin to 100 football fields. The protesters didn't get beyond a reception area which is separate from the principal embassy offices.

The bombing attack of Iran would never have happened if DJT hadn't been impeached and facing an effort to get him out of office. DJT is an insane man who wants power and money and most of all another term!!!

when we helped the Brits overthrow the democratically elected govenment so British Petroleum's stooge (and brutal dictator), the shah, could be installed.

Just like no one ever mentions that the reason we won't normalize relations with Cuba is because the dictator Castro overthrew was a puppet for American interests.
