Iran has a cyber army. Be afraid.

Last edited Fri Jan 3, 2020, 11:54 AM - Edit history (2)

After Iran discovered we had worked with Mossad to infect with a virus the PLCs that run the uranium centrifuges in their nuclear program, they called their young computer engineers to war. They breached dam operations in NY and hacked big money center banks. It was expensive for us and very scary, after the fact.

Put that in your portfolio and smoke it, Ivanka.

Adm. James Stavridis, retired, on Morning said he believes "cyber" will be Iran's first tool in their kit to attack the US because of our cyber vulnerabilities. He mentioned more traditional attacks, but he went back to mentioning cyber attacks.

will be met with bombings, up to, and including the use of nukes.

Trump has an impeachment to avoid and the sooner he can escalate this beyond all sanity, the better.

I harbor no optimism concerning the course ahead, but seriously, let's keep it in the realm of plausibility.

Pentagon Suggests Countering Devastating Cyberattacks With Nuclear Arms
NYT 1/16/18

A newly drafted United States nuclear strategy that has been sent to President Trump for approval would permit the use of nuclear weapons to respond to a wide range of devastating but non-nuclear attacks on American infrastructure, including what current and former government officials described as the most crippling kind of cyberattacks.

For decades, American presidents have threatened “first use” of nuclear weapons against enemies in only very narrow and limited circumstances, such as in response to the use of biological weapons against the United States. But the new document is the first to expand that to include attempts to destroy wide-reaching infrastructure, like a country’s power grid or communications, that would be most vulnerable to cyberweapons.

The draft document, called the Nuclear Posture Review, was written at the Pentagon and is being reviewed by the White House. Its final release is expected in the coming weeks and represents a new look at the United States’ nuclear strategy.

They have all kinds of people to keep busy coming up with utterly implausible and stupid scenarios.

But the last time my views were described as “not plausible” was when I said that the justification for the war in Iraq was a complete fabrication, and our presence there would lead to war crimes.
