As gatherings go, the difference between our convention and theirs

is the difference between a family reunion and an angry mob.

This is why I'm cautiously optimistic about November: in American politics, happy trumps angry every time.

The Democrats are having a fun party where everyone likes each other and the Republicans had a gathering of Narcissists where everyone loved themselves.
