I'm on PST and I was half asleep with the tv on...
It was either channel 7,msnbc or cnn ~ and some commentator said " A bomb shell book is coming out today that would do harm to the Democrats."
What are they talking about .....?

(30,404 posts)I know they are just waiting to say something crazy about the President.
They tell so many FALSE things that it is hard to believe anything they say or do.

(1,828 posts)The GOP got played a little. I think they scheduled this book assuming that Bin Laden would be the main bragging point of all the speakers this week. They yak on so much about how Obama has no record to run on that they forgot he actually has a GREAT record to run on.
I think they were assuming it would be all Bin Laden all the time, because, of course, that's what their convention would have been like had a GOP prez been in office. For them, every single speaker would have opened with, "Hey! He got Bin Laden! Suck on that, Dems!"
So this book was perhaps meant to rebut the entire DNC.
Instead, from what I can tell, we've gotten very little of that kind of chest beating. Kal Penn put it out there, but followed it up by commenting we can all get gay-married now! (LOL. Loved him!) So if they thought they could grab the cycle and negate the entire DNC, think again, GOP. You lose.

(24,890 posts)Most of the people to whom any book like Woodward's, or the Seal's, would appeal are teabilly types.
Trust me; they don't read. If they do, it will just be an excerpt.
