Blatantly saying he wanted Obama to fail alienated a lot of Independents and even some Rs.

This is a quotation that's been trotted out several times over the years by ultra-right wing politicians ... almost always associated with the John Birch Society and kindred organizations.

It's become the strategy of the right wing ... the corruption of wealth and power.

I think governor Beshear could beat him although he lost to him in 1996 before he had a record as governor. He is finishing his final term as Governor which should end in 2015. Problem is Mitch is up for re-election in 2014. The only other threat to him that I see is the Lieutenant Governor, and long time Mayor of Louisville Jerry Abramson if he decides to run. McConnell, and Rand Paul are both huge embarrassments to my state. They need to go.
