18. One funny moment, sorta

He and I were talking and a woman came up and asked him what moved him to resign from the Senate. I think she meant something else and phrased it poorly. It came out like she had no clue what had happened. Al and I both stared open-mouthed at her, and Al looked at me and said, “YOU tell her!” and walked away. She realized what she had said, and remarked, “that came out wrong.”

I said I thought so, too, as she obviously DID know why he left the Senate.

our State Farm agent and our dentist. We contribute to them regularly.

I don't live in the USA, so no State Farm agent, but my Dallas dentist? Oh, yeah, I still see him when I'm back in Dallas, so I got a card from him.
