I don't think Clinton knew Obama was coming out on stage. Clinton was waving at the crowd, with his back to where Obama was coming onstage. When he (Clinton) turned around, I thought he seemed surprised to see Obama...that's when he bowed! It was pretty cool!

I really think Bill Clinton did not know Barrack Obama was going to come out on the stage.

I think he was surprised, and in a SUPER COOL gesture of deference in the moment did the bow.

They had Terry McCauliff on after the speech, and he said when they went to Clinton and asked him to speak last night, he immediately went to work and spent A LOT of time working on the speech over the next month.

I think for all the need for the "liberal" media to try to linger on this notion that they don't like one another, not that really matters, Clinton is full on board with getting BO reelected, and is getting ready to get on the campaign trail and follow up.

He loves this stuff, he believes in the party and I think it is clear he is dutifully in line with doing whatever the president's team asks.

they said BO would be coming out.

But, after going on a 45 minute political speech bender and caught up in the moment, he clearly was surprised when BO came up behind him.

FWIW, the picture says that Clinton acknowledges some degree of authority over him by Obama. With all the talk about how the two do or don't get along, I find that a bit interesting.
