Some Folks Are About Business

What an amazing woman. She is doing the job for her constituents, getting laws passed. She does not run for the cameras, she does her job. She is not just talking about what could be, she is making it happen. I so wish more would follow her lead.

I’m very excited to share that my legislation, the Lower Insulin Costs Now Act was just signed into law as part of the government funding bill!

This legislation will make lower-cost, generic insulin available more quickly nationwide.

This year, I’ve introduced 30 pieces of legislation, passed 13 through the House, and held 14 town halls in our district.

Some Folks Are About Business

There are some elected officials who spend their time running towards the cameras, and seeing how they can boost their social media profiles.

And, then, there are those who came to work and better the lives of their constituents.

Lauren Underwood is in the latter.

She has been plugging away, trying to help those in her district. If you have a few dollars, and wonder what freshman Congresscritter deserves those coins, look no further. Send them to the Congresswoman from Illinois.

We’ve done a lot in 1 year, team. I’m running for re-election to continue making effective change for my community.

She is serving her community not seeking the limelight. These Reps have been hired for one job, serving their community and in that end serving we the people collectively.

those are 2 pretty formative crucibles of self. some come out a cinder, and some come out a diamond. you can tell them apart by their smiles.

I am convinced that we will increase the number of elected officials who "come to work" as we increase the number of women elected to those offices. Call that sexist, but that's how I see it at this time in history.

GOP makes me tired of seeing old white men in office.

Nothing sexist about that to me.

Men have had centuries to clean things up. They have for the most part failed...for the record I am not saying all men. It is way past time for women to take the lead.
