Here in the Twin Cities of Minnesota, we got some freezing rain that froze immediately on roads and sidewalks. For most people, that meant car accidents and falls. For the kid in this tweet, it meant an opportunity for some fun.

(146,317 posts)wasn't a thing for me. I did live on roller skates for a couple of summers though when I was 9 or 10 years old.
But, indeed, yes, I am too old for such things now. More's the pity!

(146,317 posts)A lot of kids in Minnesota live on skates in the winter. Today, the whole world was a rink. Now, though, it's raining and above freezing, so the opportunity has passed.

The best skating came one day it was so cold, a creek froze.
