I find it difficult to understand how anyone who practices a faith other than the fake Christianity Trumpers practice can support him. It is good to see some people standing up for their Christian faith - finally. A bit too little too late in my opinion though. They've gotten all the corporatist, "religious freedom", anti-choice, racist, xenophobic, LGBTQ-phobic judges they need already. So it seem a bit of a sham to me to come around now after having been silent for long enough to get what they wanted.

Would love to see more Southern Baptists split away. How long will it take for Liberty University students to walk out?

I read this today somewhere: God didn't vote for Trump, people did.

As a recovering Southern Baptist I can assure you there is no way in hell (pun?) they are going to leave Trump. ZERO, ZIP, NILCH, NADA.

You must remember the reason there are Southern Baptists is because they split off from the main Baptist convention over slavery. They needed to keep their free labor and rejected seeing African Americans as humans like themselves. Not much has changed since then. Except that they have spread across the country from the South and taken their racist beliefs with them.

Jesus would bring up some issues with just exactly who is deserving of a good life.
When Melania Trump wore that hateful, grungy jacket enroute the detention camps, she and all the hateful MAGA's who giggled in childish glee earned the term "deplorables" they have been so proud of, aside from smashing to pieces the tradition of the office of First Lady to be a pinnacle of class and style.
Now that 5 children lost their lives in detention camps, and now one more mowed down with someone who decided she would become judge, jury and executioner based on deplorable "morals".
I don't have a better word to describe it, Thank You Hillary Clinton, you hit the nail on the head.
This holiday season it's time to take these Nazi's to task on their crimes. Yes, THEIR crimes. They ignored all the horrible acts of their Jinn president, even cheered on the hateful rhetoric. Now that much of that is coming unraveled, some of them are sheepishly issuing excuses for bringing on pure evil to lead the country.
Every time I see those "Trump 2020" stickers on environmentally uncaring vehicles I cringe.

Diverse in this context would have to cover a huge spectrum. I'm not Jewish but I do go to lectures and occationally to study groups at a local synagogue where although I do find religious views quite diverse I find little support or even respect for Mr. Kushner's politics. But I'd admit my experience is limited.

mobbing he suffered from his online RW "friends" (just for daring to interact with her civilly online once she responded to him), that opened his eyes and led him to do some research outside of the RW bubble. He was shocked to encounter so many obvious facts that he had been protected from by never having ventured outside the RW propaganda bubble before.

Of course, it took right wing attacks on him personally to lead him to reconsider his false beliefs.

Why the Repugs have made education so expensive. When I attended the U of A, Fayetteville in '79 Tuition was $17 an hour, in '80 in went to $23, now its over $250 an hour. That mostly started with Raygun, who stopped my financial aid just as I was re-enrolling for my junior year, thus ending my prospects for a degree. Why I still hate that son-of-a-bitch and all the fascists who followed his sorry ass.

have been persuaded by her friend to be a trumper. Her family has plenty of assets, and he's her only son. He dropped out of college, but wonders why everyone else is getting ahead but it's so hard for him. Him paying hundreds for health insurance was what made her angry for her son, along with how mistreated this middle class young white man is.

I wonder what had caused Weissman's ptsd?

social and political attitudes and basic personality type. Environment's huge, of course, apparently even more than just gentically linked personality traits, but if this really took and sticks it'll be because new understandings are supported by underlying personality traits.

Theres NO WAY you can call them a left wing news source. Showed 40+% of evangelicals approved removal of trump. He just dismissed it saying "do you know how easy it would be to just SAY you're an evangelical?"
And he's a well educated person. Just leaves it at the door when it comes to trump. They've turned into Scientologists.
