Nor do any of my friends.

It seems an odd thing to do.

It’s annoying because it always ends up in uncomfortable silence with both sides seething. Unfortunately, half of my family are Trump disciples.

A week ago I was looking at my sisters nativity set and I said where is baby Jesus - and she said not born yet he comes on Christmas and I said oh I thought maybe he crossed the border and is now separated from his parents. Good thing they didn't come through that route HUH....crickets.

We had ours last night (boneless rib roast, btw, and oh my fucking god was it good).

Only people who like people were invited.

There wasn’t even a political discussion, let alone a political argument.

And that’s just how I like it.

He made every holiday a living hell, in part because he was a bigoted asshole who loved greed and Republicans. He was also abusive and just shitty.

Sooo, I’ve never been fond of the holidays, every once in a while the Magic of Christmas, friends and family will hit me.

Not this year. Just want it to be over with.

But with Dad gone, I can at least enjoy my mom, and my kids. We will hit up a couple of different places today. I don’t even usually decorate for Christmas and this year is no different ( put up lights sometime cause they are pretty)

On the other hand, my yard is like, over-decorated with plants and statuary all year long, one of those small houses full of whimsy. So I don’t really miss out.

No political talk whatsoever. We got in and out unscathed, I’m elated that it’s over. Going to the movies later today with my husband. I hope you all have a wonderful day.
