Happy Holidays, DU!
We're one big and sometimes fractious family here, but we're here because we care about our party, our country, our fellow beings (human and otherwise), and our planet. We want peace. We want to see what's good preserved and what isn't good improved.
We want what these winter holidays tell us we should aspire to.
There have been a lot of dark times the last few years.
But I hope these winter holidays will bring some brightness to all of you. I hope as many of you as possible are able to spend at least part of the holidays with loved ones. I hope all of you facing illness, injury, or a crisis of any type are finding the healing and support you need. I hope the grieving will find comfort, and the lonely will be gifted with kindness and care from others.
I'm wishing the best for all of you.
And I'm wishing the best for our country and world, which of course means a newly elected Democratic president next year.
I'm grateful for this site, for the forum our admins have created and maintained for so many years, which has become an extended family for so many of us.
And I hope all of you who are on DU at any time this holiday season will find something here to make the season better for you.

I hope 2020 is the year that makes us all proud to be Americans and not embarrassed. And I hope Krampus nails the naughty liar at Mar a Lago tonight.
