Convict Trumpor else.
Thats the message liberal advocacy groups are trying to send to Republican senators in hopes of pressuring them to vote for President Trumps removal from office, or at least maximizing the political pain for them if they dont.
One such group, Stand Up America, is bankrolling a new $300,000 digital campaign targeting a dozen GOP senators as the impeachment trial draws nearer. The liberal political nonprofit, which has been organizing to support impeachment and other initiatives to counter Trump, tells The Daily Beast it plans to run digital ads urging the public to call their senator; they will also launch a volunteer-driven texting campaign to drive calls and apply pressure on a few key Republicans.
Its part of a broader effort from the left to lean on Republican senators to break with Trump in a trial that will decide the fate of his presidency. Chances are, it wont work; so far, no Republican lawmaker has publicly indicated a willingness to vote for Trumps conviction after the House voted to impeach earlier this month. And groups aligned with the president have begun to crowd the airwaves with anti-impeachment messages targeting moderate Democrats.

(51,609 posts)I just need to know the senators to call the most. I will call all the GOP ones using addresses from Zillow ads from the senators' home states (in case they need to verify if I am a constituent). I got the idea to use Zillow about 2 1/2 years ago at an Impeach tRump rally. I have done it literally hundreds of times and it works! Keep it short so that they don't ask you for too much info. I tell them that my coworkers, family, friends and neighbors will "never vote for them again and may permanently switch parties". My dialing finger is ready to go as soon as the trial starts in the Senate.
