He'll do whatever is necessary to preserve his position and power in the Senate. If that means protecting Trump/Putin that's what he'll do. But if Trump's popularity starts to slide, don't expect Mitch to lift a finger to support him.

republican leadership has received their marching orders from Putin...recall the visit by republican legislators earlier this year to Russia? I wonder what all of that was about. I daresay it wasn't a good thing, and if anything, to stifle our election turnout by voters, etc.

the ruskies have leverage on him... he has to do their bidding or loose the plant and lots of jobs..
