Let's have some fun and see what's stalled in the Senate

You can show this to your Trumper relatives, if you can stomach it.

It's the 116th Congress (this current one), sorted by earliest date, and shows bills only (no resolutions) that originated in the House and were passed by the House.

This goes to the search and filter results from Congress.gov. Some of the characters in the URL didn't show up well on DU.

Look at the indicator! Look at all the bills that "Passed House" and are stuck there! Scroll down! Bill after bill, passed the Democratic-controlled House and stuck in the Republican-controlled Senate!

Key things to search for are "Placed", "Received", "Ordered", "Motion", "Message", "Presented", and "Became Public".

Out of the 426 results as of today, Tuesday, December 24th, 2019, this is the breakdown:

"Placed on Senate calendar" (stuck in Senate): 47
"Received in the Senate" (stuck in Senate): 296
"Ordered" (stuck in Senate): 6
"Motion" (stuck in Senate): 3
"Message" (stuck in Senate): 6
Total stuck in Mitch McConnell's Senate: 358

"Became Public Law": 66
"Presented" (waiting on Dolt45): 2

So there you have it. Of 426 bills passing the House and going to the Senate, 358 (84%) are stuck in the Senate.

Eighty. Four. Percent.

Molasses Mitch is far more realistic than "Do-nothing Dems"!

Mitch McConnell uses government to promote and protect his own interests. He's always done this.

The owners of the Republicans in the Senate understand that if anything is accomplished with the name of a Democrat attached to it, that can lead to another Democrat being elected. This scares the owners and thus they will not give permission to the Republicans to act.

Murdoch, Koch Industries, Sinclair, et. al., have possession of the key to the Republican clown car, along with the spines of Republican Senators, and won't give it up so long as there is more profit to be made in pollution and pain.
