I'm a poor college kid trying to make it through school without being drowned in debt and finding money for rent. I don't have much disposable income/none really, but these last two nights have forced me. Watching the speeches, I just feel compelled now. I know the money will be put to good use and I feel great.
Sorry for the new thread, just feel so proud to be a supporter of the greatest cause of my life to this point.

(13,362 posts)I am a single mom and too strapped this year to spare a donation...so your donation and love has helped make the wave BIGGER, and then I can add my prayers as well, and more can help us all along...
that's how this new "together" theme works

(2,424 posts)The 1% would rather walk on a bed of burning coals then give employees a reasonable benefit package.
Yet.....those tightwads will dump hundreds of millions down a losing proposition called the GOP.
This is how important they think political influence is.
You are buying a very small bit of political influence. It doesn't amount to much more than briefly raising your middle finger. Your ten bucks is "flipping the bird" at Citizens United and the 1%.
Feels good doesn't it?
I personally enjoy it.
Edit: Speaking of flipping the bird......
I have this new obsessive habit of flipping the bird at the "Pappa Johns" pizza dude when I see him on TV. It kind of became a habit and the wife "busted" me the other day asking me why I was flipping off the TV. I smiled and told her it was a long story.
