Two out of 3 here -- I like NEAT! But my late husband always had a desk piled high with papers and other stuff he claimed was needed. Yet, he knew exactly where everything was, and yes, he was quite smart, and very talented. And he cussed (when necessary!). he also was a major saver, because "You just never know when X, Y or Z might come in handy". (Of course, some folks would call it hoarding...).
