Update from Stacey Abrams on fight against voter purges in GA

(from email blast, 12.20.19)

Yesterday, our team and supporters went back to court to fight the “use it or lose it” purge of 120,000 voters.

Court is adjourned, and there’s no decision yet, but here’s the exciting part: Even before the hearing started, we were already winning.

Approximately 26,500 Georgians — more than 1 in 5 "use it or lose it" voters — were already restored to the rolls due to our advocacy, organizing and legal briefing on the issues with their purge!

We will see what the court orders in the coming weeks, but we already are winning important victories for voters.

Georgia is a battleground state and the epicenter of the fight for free and fair elections.

But this problem doesn’t just exist here.

In fact, the right to vote is under attack right now across the country, and in the absence of federal protections it’s up to advocacy groups like ours to fight back against these attempts to suppress the vote.

We only have our democracy by the thinnest of margins across a few key states. If we lose that, it’s over. Her work is crucial, but not glamorous. She deserves the glamour too!

for a long time, endorsed by these universities who use their majority black athletes to support racist global warming-denying RW talk radio

GEORGIA 14 $1,050,000 Georgia 7, Georgia Tech 5, Georgia Southern 2

fairfight should be protesting these universities - it will get media, the cons will freak out, advertisers will head for the hills - and without those radio stations the republicans are screwed in GA - and that will free/force those politicians to dump trump

We were all robbed of a representative who would have served our state well. Georgia is very red in places, but not as many as it seems and overall not as red as people think. Good for Stacey Abrams for fighting to push back against voter suppression in GA and the rest of the country. Even though she was cheated of the governor's office, she still insists on working for the people. She's the real deal.

here as well. How can a system with no paper trail ever be trusted? I don't trust it; and I am certain election results would be much different with paper ballots.

North Carolina, Florida, Kentucky, Nevada and other states. He was hired by Stacey to investigate the voter purges in Georgia.
