Justice Roberts should not give the oath to people who have already stated they will break it.

If Roberts gives the oath to McConnell and Graham he will breaking his oath, he will be rigging a trial.

The Democrats should demand they both recuse themselves from the trial. Do not send the articles until those two fucking assholes are removed from the trial.

A juror who admits prejudice is dismissed in jury selection.

But each house makes its own rules. If they mandate that all tRump kids be on the jury, they can make that rule.

Am I wrong, Constitutional scholars?

Each House of Congress makes its own rules, and that's half the problem we have with Congress. They get so wrapped up in slavish obedience to their own artificial rules that they forget what it is they're supposed to be doing.

that have voiced openly that they would vote for removal,

Under the same circumstances, they too should not be given the oath.

I just think this is a non-starter for me.

they would vote for impeachment BUT qualified that they want to hear all the evidence first. That is different from comments I have heard from Graham and McConnell. Graham said he has already made up his mind and McConnell has gone as far as to say he will work with Trump.

it still rings of a "guilty until proven innocent" position.
