(29,322 posts)He doesn't get involved with whoever Tulsi is debating. If anything he draws contrasts between him and Joe Biden as respectfully as he can.
W_HAMILTON
(7,873 posts)He most certainly did interrupt an exchange between Gabbard and Buttigieg, I believe, to come to her defense.
JonLP24
(29,322 posts)He wasn't involved with that exchange between Gabbard/Buttigieg but at this point I'm not supporting either so they both have positions I don't like. The moderators went to Bernie Sanders and he gave his own points.
W_HAMILTON
(7,873 posts)You can watch the exchange here, beginning around the 01:46:16 mark:
Tulsky and Buttigieg are going back and forth and then Sanders interrupts to save Tulsky and starts up with his usual stump speech and THEN the moderator recognizes him.
JonLP24
(29,322 posts)Buttigieg was wrong when he said he was open to using troops to fight drug cartels him saying he wasn't suggesting he'd invade Mexico wasn't anything she said so I doubt he was "saving" anyone though Buttigieg put up more of a fight than Kamala Harris.
W_HAMILTON
(7,873 posts)Tulsky was getting rightfully beat up on by Buttigieg for her ignorant claim that he was for advocating that we invade Mexico (LOL) and explaining his actual position.
And Harris also beat up on her earlier in the night, which was just as comical.

(29,322 posts)Pete Buttigieg says hes open to sending U.S. troops to Mexico
South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg said at a Latino forum in Los Angeles on Sunday that hed be willing to send U.S. troops into Mexico to combat gang and drug violence.
There is a scenario where we could have security cooperation, Buttigieg said.
Even so, he added a caveat: Id only order American troops into conflict if American lives were on the line and if it was necessary to meet treaty obligations.

Like I said I don't support Buttigieg or Tulsi Gabbard.

(1,620 posts)When she left the DNC leadership to endorse Bernie I suspected something was amiss. I like Bernie a lot but could never get myself to believe that Tulsi was a for real progressive.

Do not post disrespectful nicknames, insults, or highly inflammatory attacks against any Democratic public figures. Do not post anything that could be construed as bashing, trashing, undermining, or depressing turnout for any Democratic general election candidate, and do not compare any Democratic general election candidate unfavorably to their general election opponent(s).
I know Ive seen it somewhere online.
