Impeachment rally, site, number check in:

Lets see how many we can get to check and hear about the amazing response we had last night. I will start:

TACOMA WA somewhere between 850-1000 by time all said and done...people just came streaming in. This was a wonderful response for Tacoma. Usually we get around 250-400 for most events. Lots of that is because many folks either go where the big rally is, Seattle or to the state capitol in Olympia. I was very pleased that in the cold weather and parking hassled Tacoma last night we showed in great numbers....now onto you my friends, where and how many?

There was another rally in Westerville, one of our suburbs, but I haven’t seen how many were there for that one.

Wenatchee.

Course I knew everyone there! We libs here hang together.🤣 A few came out of the closet. I covered up so as not to be outed, since I still work (in the legal community).

Felt good. Lots of support! 👍

which was actually a good turnout in our small city, Montana. Mind you, it was dark, cold and sustained 35mph winds with gusts to 50mph.

It was hard to hang on to our signs but we were out there, bundled up and well lit. e didn't have snow or rain but we had serious wind and +30F temps. I'm glad I thought to put a tether on my sign but it was more like trying to hold on to a sail!

Hooray for everyone who went out and braved the elements for this important event!!

Mostly because of threats and harassment and I just don't like to identify who or where I am exactly. Small town, everybody knows everybody, I'm thankful I have a place to be anonymous like DU. I'll identify my state but that's all.

I hope the harassment isn't politics-related.

I covered up last night at the impeachment rally so I wouldn't be easily recognized (by media, if any) in my conservative medium-sized town. I don't want certain people to know my politics here, at least until I retire.

I hope Bozeman won't be like that...we hope to retire to that area (not right in, but within about 30 minutes). I know, I know. It's over-populated and too cool. Oh well. Following our daughter. Love it there, anyway. University town.

Stay safe!

I was a lobbyist in a controversial realm for a time and it has cost me dearly. Unless you can make friends with the enemy it will be hard to exist in this state. My landlady was not aware of my political leanings until last night when she saw me heading out to protest. Thankfully, she is of a mind to agree to disagree. I just moved here this year so I want to nurture the relationship since we are the only ones on the property. We approach such conversations with great care. I have informed her of my lobbying but I was also a mediator so I focus on that part since it requires listening to both sides.

She's a nice lady, we're close in age and both retired. My town/county is purple so it's a definite balancing act.

that said, I have no true affection for Bozeman but it's an important city ans sometimes I make the drive there to shop because it's the closest city with a Costco but it's a drive to a different county. The other one close enough to go to is twice as far. But if more Dems move here, we can force the legislature and our federal reps to become Dems too.

If it had been warmer I'm sure the number would have been much higher. Unfortunately it was windy and in the low 30's, and it has snowed earlier in the day. I was at the rally last night in downtown Pittsburgh but I didn't have a good view of the entire crowd. Someone else told me it was about 1,000.
