demands fair impeachment trialNew York Sen. Chuck Schumer said Monday that Republican senators are privately acknowledging President Trump was wrong to press Ukraine for politically-motivated investigations, though they want more evidence to determine whether his actions warrant removal from office.
Schumer, the Senates top Democrat, spoke for his GOP colleagues while calling on Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to get behind a proposal to subpoena John Bolton, Mick Mulvaney and two key White House officials for testimony in Trumps expected impeachment trial.
Many Republicans have voiced to me and many of my colleagues privately that they think what the president did is wrong, but theyre just not sure enough facts have been presented to make an impeachable case, Schumer said at a U.S. Capitol press conference.

If only some sort of trial could be held where the prosecution and defense are allowed to call for evidence so it can be presented openly for everyone to see..........
