Trillion Dollar Deficit When The Economy Is Doing "Good" What's Up With That?

I think it is a sham Donnie.

Give me a trillion free dollars, and I could make anything look good.

The economy sucks for everyone but the 1% when you count on our kids paying off the money we borrow to afford the few extra crumbs we have gathered since 2016.

Trump promised on the campaign trail he was gonna pay off the national debt. Remember?

How is that working out Donnie Dipsh*t?

crazy stock buy backs. Great for the stock markets and stock prices. But, it's a house of cards just waiting on a small breeze.

You'll never see the RW be concerned about how much federal debt a tax cut or an aircraft carrier will generate.

* Run up deficit to help overheat the economy to make them look good with low unemployment,
* Keep savings rates to near zero so the working class cannot increase their share of meaningful assets. Also keeps working class in constant fear of no substantial retirement plan.
* Do everything possible to keep labor pay rates low and therefore fear levels high.
* Cut taxes for the wealthy, cut regulations for business, encourage rampant M&A and spin all this as good for the economy,
* Give working class a token/fake tax cut for advertising purposes,
* Add token spending amounts to programs which they previously cut to the bone for advertising purposes,
* Slowly shift more tax burden to working class by cutting benefits programs,
* Blame Democrats for the hangover effects from the last cycle when they were in power (*),
* Note that over the long-haul along with budget cuts, the effect of running rising, high deficits has a slow, erosive effect of destroying government structures which is exactly what they want, and
* Next, government structures showing stress allows them to proclaim how ineffective government is, thereby allowing a window to further proclaim that privatization would be better. Privatization then increases costs to citizens for needed services and increases the wealth of big business and the plutocrat class.
* Lather, rinse, spin, repeat and do so at local, state and federal levels (*).

(*) This cycle works best for Rethugs when Democrats win from time to time. Keeps the public blind to their game.

There are a lot more elements to their complex game of destruction but this is about how this hillbilly understands it. It started to become apparent during Raygun's time.

A $Trillion deficit with low UE and a still modestly growing economy is alarming. If the economy heads South, like 3/4 of economists say it will by the end of 2020, that deficit could end doubling.

any gains.

instead it is 1,000,000,000,000.00 in new debt obligations. Ain't nothing free about that.

And this ain't Trump. This is what every Republican administration since Reagan, with the exception of Bush-not-the-idjit, has done as soon as they get in office: cut taxes for the 1% and blow a huge deficit.
