For years I've really appreciated the ease with which things could be returned to Amazon. Especially since there's a UPS practically within walking distance of our house. But today when I elected to return an item, the only choice I had, as far as I could see, was to take it to an Amazon center in a mall 10 miles away. That seemed to be the only place in greater Boston!! What's up? What if you don't have a car???
This happened once before, but then I could return it to a location on the public transit line, at least.
Was it the kind of item I bought? Is this happening all the time? If I'd searched harder on the web site could I have found a way to mail it back?
If this is SOP from now on I'm going to have to give up buying clothes via Amazon.

(6,622 posts)...whether it is sold by Amazon or another vendor through Amazon. At least thats the impression Ive gotten. But Ive never NOT had the option of dropping at any UPS location, if need be.
I love the Kohls return option. Very convenient for me, and you always get a good Kohls coupon in the process.

(57,099 posts)apparently this sort of money confers the right to change the rules whenever.
But its not his fault he has that financial portfolio, even I use Amazon on occasion.
