Trump's Taxes... Here is the survey he may be scared of:

Overall, the numbers of surveyed Americans who say it’s not acceptable at all to cheat on taxes has went down, but still remains high. Probably a Trump related change of thinking.

IRS Comprehensive Taxpayer Attitude Survey (CTAS) 2018

Page 7

“Ethical attitudes towards paying taxes remain high among Americans. The majority of Americans continue to say that it is not at all acceptable to cheat on taxes (85%), that it is every American’s civic duty to pay their fair share of taxes (95% agree), and that everyone who cheats on their taxes should be held accountable (90% agree).

A sense of civic duty to pay a fair share of taxes increases as education level and age increase. As income decreases, Americans are more likely to agree that they should only pay what they feel is a fair amount.”

Growing Partisan Divide Over Fairness of the Nation’s Tax System

“Overall, about six-in-ten Americans say they are bothered “a lot” by the feeling that some corporations (62%) and wealthy people (60%) do not pay their fair share in taxes.”

-snip-

“Most Americans (63%) say the economic system in the United States unfairly favors powerful interests; only about a third (34%) say it is generally fair to most Americans. The share saying the economic system is unfair has remained largely stable since 2014.”

single dime in taxes. Suppose for example that Jeff B. of Amazon never sells a single share of Amazon stock, thus, he never ever will pay a dime in taxes (because of no capital gains)...he can literally borrow the money forever, deduct the interest, and basically have no income (relatively speaking, compared to his wealth). All wealthy people are in this racket, assets are owned by nefarious entities based in Panama or elsewhere, favorable leases back to themselves of this property, etc., etc., etc.

And undeclared income...everytime rump mentions his business while working, this is a $million dollar ad buy. He needs to be forced to pay income taxes on this undeclared income/benefit. He mouths off so much about his business interests that it's clearly violating the Emoluments clause. Enforce it or make him pay the taxes on this unreported income. When is enough, going to be enough? If the Feds and other entities won't hold him accountable, then we're going to have to throw him out of office even more determined than before, and convict him for tax fraud, etc.

Guess who's paying the bills in the end? We are. And what's even worse about it, they're still bitching about still paying too much. They put cities, states, etc. all at odds w/ each other for so called jobs etc. (such as the big plant in Wisconsin (Foxconn plant)...

MADISON - Foxconn Technology Group won't qualify for massive subsidies if it doesn't amend its agreement with the state, Gov. Tony Evers' aides have been warning the Taiwanese firm for months. In a letter last month, state Administration Secretary Joel Brennan told Foxconn's Alan Yeung that the company's plans to build a facility in Mount Pleasant had changed so much that it risked losing financial help from the state.
...etc.

Carrier ... still going to move to Mexico despite getting breaks to stay, rump's moaning...jobs are still being lost, Carrier is still going to Mexico, etc.

Man, we are winning!! Can't stand it man, if we have anymore wins!

over last two months alone, most of which is stemming from the ill-advised tax cut bill of 2017, which the economy didn't need. And guess who's going to pay those bills? We are. I am, like you I'm sure, am getting so fed up w/ the incompetence and deliberate ignoring of these deficits, mostly driven to satisfy republican donors, and not actual economic need (that the republicans could see during their short term, narrow view when they passed the bill).

What's going to happen is that BAM, it'll yank them off their feet so fast their heads will swim (republicans and rump) because things in the economy will start going to pieces because of this unneeded tax cut going to only the top 10% (my estimate, but point is, a tiny sliver of top income earners). Already we are seeing signs of economic slowdowns everywhere and Banks are having to be bailed out...they're estimating up to $500 Billion in bailouts so far just for Dec. 2019. Incompetent. Pure incompetence. Every one of those that pushed for and voted for this 2017 tax cut bill should be thrown into jail for lying to the American public. They even said that it would simulate job growth. Ha, sarcasm here...right, lots of good job growth...if anything, lots of low paying, minimum wage jobs.

Take care, and you're right...this is a hot button issue that the democratic party needs to pound and yell about every second (other than the corruption of rump).

way more than a 'living wage'! I can't believe these naysayers and if I ever run into one of these people like this (those that say $15 is way too much), I'll demand that they try and make a living on this amount and prove it.

Perhaps one can make a living on this, but only if you already had a paid for car and house.

But of course this is not counting insurance (medical) and other bills we all need to pay for too, as well as other numerous things and you're already scrapping the bottom of your $15 an hour paycheck, let alone if you have others dependent on your paycheck too, such as kids, wife, etc.

His cult will excuse him for anything and everything. They always have double standards for their dear leader. I bet they will say some BS excuse about him not paying taxes. Even the fundamentalists excuse all of his horrid behavior.

should just make up shit on their tax returns next year, i.e. inflate their property values; write off payments to their pimps and/or prostitutes; write up bogus property values and then write off inflated or non-existent business expenses; and then force the IRS to subpoena our personal records, and if and when they do, force them to take us to court and challenge them on the basis that if the POTUS's tax records are private and he doesn't have to show them to anyone, then so are the rest of ours.

When this shit with Trump's taxes began, I recall that he made a claim that he was audited every year, but refused to provide any proof that he had ever been audited. When he announced he was running for President, he presented a table full of what he claimed were his copies of his annual taxes, to which he claimed were audited every year. Not one year did he provide as every other presidential candidate had provided in previous years. What did happen though was Michael Cohen, his go to guy, told us that he inflated his property values in his documents, and wrote the excessive values off on his taxes. He often didn't pay construction bills to people who did work for him, and when they complained, forced people he owed money to accept pennies on the dollar, much less than was owed, or receive nothing.

He opened a phony school i.e. 'Trump University' scamming students who thought they were attending an accredited university.

Either we have laws that apply to all of us and which everyone is required to follow; including the rich, the famous, and the Commander-in-Chief; or those laws apply to none of us, and none of us have to follow them.
